The American Archer
When people think of America, they think of firearms and the second amendment. While those are important, many Americans love archery, and American archery has an interesting history too.
As Europeans immigrated to America, a fusion of European and Native American archery technology and techniques took place.
After the civil war, confederate soldiers couldn’t own firearms. So Maurice and his brother William Thompson became proficient bowhunters and popularized it. They would become the founders of the NAA (National Archery Association).
